Reviews

Burrow Boss offers a refreshing take on the tycoon genre by placing players in charge of an underground mole colony. The progression feels rewarding as each new tunnel unlocks fresh strategic decisions. The idle income feature ensures that even casual players see steady growth. The simple visuals and clear feedback make it easy to understand, while the depth of resource balancing keeps experienced players engaged. It is a well-crafted simulation that respects your time.

Description

Starting Your Colony

Begin with a single tunnel and a handful of moles. Your first task is to establish a reliable food source by constructing a farm. This keeps your workers healthy and ready for more complex jobs. As food production stabilizes, you can expand into new tunnels, each designed for a specific purpose like research or community gatherings.

Managing Resources and Workers

Each mole has a role, from farming to hauling goods. You assign them to different facilities and monitor the flow of materials using elevators that move items between levels. Balancing the output of each structure is key to avoiding bottlenecks and ensuring steady progress.

Offline Growth and Idle Income

Even when you step away, your colony continues to generate resources. This idle mechanic allows you to return to a stockpile of goods and currency, which you can reinvest in upgrades. It makes the game suitable for short play sessions while still rewarding long-term planning.

Expanding Your Empire

As profits grow, you can build grand halls for events, labs for new technologies, and gyms to improve mole efficiency. Each new facility opens up additional revenue streams and strategic choices. The goal is to transform a modest burrow into a thriving underground enterprise.
